I never thought I'd ever be referred to as an author...
Finally I decided to write my story myself. I realized narrating my story to someone else would take just as much time! I started writing my book on 20th May, 2021.
In the beginning, I couldn't choose the best way to present my story. I wonder whether to go in chronological order of events or to go theme-wise. After discussing with Dad, my sister and a few well-wishers, I decided to go with a mixture of both and dominantly by chronology.
Most of my life experiences are fresh in my mind as I quoted them in my several talks. While writing about those experiences, I observed something very interesting.
As I wrote, I literally re-lived all the moments again. All the happy moments made me feel equally happy again. But surprisingly I didn’t relive the sadness for the times when I had been deeply hurt. Maybe because I was able to overcome those challenges as time went on or I had gained an understanding of the situation from others’ perspective too.
I strongly felt like reconnecting with those I'd met in my life journey. I called people I had lost touch with, found contacts and recollected those happy moments with them again. The joy I felt helped me write with a deep passion and authenticity.
With this experience I realized that we can relive our life by writing our story. No need for a time machine :)
