Through the Lens of Resilience

The U.S. Consulate General in Chennai, in collaboration with our YWTC Trust, hosted a program titled “Through the Lens of Resilience” to commemorate the #InternationalDayofPersonswithDisabilities. The event featured a fireside chat with me and Zoe Swinson, a Consular Officer, along with a screening of our documentary “Beyond the Court: The Indian Basketball Journey.” We traveled to the U.S. at the invitation of the U.S. government in 2019 under their Sports Visitors Program, where I had the honor of leading a team of Indian coaches and administrators for wheelchair basketball training, which proved to be an invaluable experience.

The event was graced by the U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission, the Consul General, students, and Fiserv staff, with sign language interpretation provided by Nithya Giri . It is a privilege for me to be part of such a meaningful occasion.
